Sterncastle Publishing is proud to partner with the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce to bring you a pre-launch event for Taylor Yount‘s debut poetry release My Sutured Mind: Poems of Healing Beyond Trauma. Each poem represents a step along the author’s road to recovery from her own history of medical trauma and is aimed to provide a significant and meaningful contribution to the recovery of other trauma sufferers.
For those who support trauma survivors, the book’s illustrations by acclaimed artist Veta Bakhtina help to drive home the emotions and struggles of those who have experienced trauma firsthand. Together, the author and illustrator hope that My Sutured Mind will be a roadmap to recovery for survivors of all types of trauma.
Join us for this morning soft launch event in advance of our full book launch event on 6/14. Copies of the book will be available for purchase, and you can meet the artist and poet and get the book signed. We hope to see you there!
